In the 1990s, Tom’s father built his reputation as a construction contractor, learning that the right equipment doesn’t just speed up projects—it protects lives. When he invested in a small scaffolding factory, he understood that manufacturing was about precision, not shortcuts.

After leaving the military in 2013, Tom’s older brother brought his discipline to Shanghai’s HVAC market, representing premium brands like Daikin and Hitachi. He learned that success wasn’t about being the cheapest supplier—it was about being the most reliable. In 2018, he took that lesson and built his own company, managing complex building climate systems for developers and commercial spaces across East China.

That same year, fresh from university, Tom chose a different path: international trade. Drawn to cross-cultural communication and global logistics, he immersed himself in the complete cycle of import-export—from product sourcing and quality control to regulatory compliance and customer service. Through years at a trading company, he built an extensive network of manufacturers and deep expertise across industrial equipment, packaging, and raw materials.

In 2022, Tom’s brother and his veteran colleagues invested in a stainless steel pipe fitting factory. Recognizing the global demand for reliable solar installation lifts, they began manufacturing and approached Tom with an invitation: help us reach the world. PV Helper was born—initially as “Photovoltaic Helper,” a focused mission to be the trusted lift supplier for solar contractors worldwide.

But something unexpected happened: our customers started asking us for more. A solar installer needed a compact transport vehicle. A contractor wanted garden maintenance equipment for site cleanup. A facilities manager asked about industrial cleaners. Each request revealed the same truth—our customers didn’t need specialists in one category; they needed partners who understood their complete operational needs.

We listened. We connected them with vetted manufacturers of scaffolding, mowers, stackers, sweeping equipment, and used machinery. With each solution provided, PV Helper evolved. Our brand name expanded in meaning: no longer just “Photovoltaic Helper,” but “Professional Versatile Helper”—a reliable partner who doesn’t just supply equipment, but understands the problems you’re solving.
